New Treasurer wanted

Octapod is on the hunt for a new Treasurer to join the board.

The primary responsibility of this voluntary role is to oversee the organisation’s accounts. A staff member prepares all financial statements and reports on behalf of the Treasurer for the monthly board meeting. The Treasurer then needs to read those reports prior to the meeting and ask questions of the Octapod Director at the meeting.

The time commitment is a 2 hour monthly meeting (currently the 3rd Monday of the month, 6-8pm) as well as attending to emails during the month. The opportunity exists to take on more responsibilities as time, interest and skills allow.

Ideally the Treasurer will work in accounts and/or have accounting qualifications.

The position would suit someone interested in the arts and wanting to contribute to the community in a meaningful way. Board meetings generally involve robust discussion of current issues within a relaxed atmosphere.

All inquiries should be directed to the Octapod Chair, Richard De Martin via
