LMCAG Arts and Disability Programming Forum

Stop the World cropThis forum will bring together people working in the fields of disability, mental health and arts to discuss what services and arts programs are currently available in the region. The key aim of the session is to formulate how partnerships and networking can maximise positive outcomes for the sector including programming under the NDIS. The day will include short presentations outlining a few examples of what resources and programs are currently available as well as an interactive future program mapping exercise.

WHEN: Monday 16 March 2015

TIME: 9.30am – 1pm (or 1.45pm if you would like to stay for lunch)

WHERE: Lake Macquarie City Art Gallery, 1A First St, Boorugal

ACCESS: The venue and toilets are accessible.

PARKING: There is free parking available at the venue.

COST: Free to attend but registration required for catering purposes.

11:30am Christina Robberds Director, Octapod Justine Potter Project Manager, Octapod The Creative Access Program – an innovative approach to career development for artists with disability focussing on sector development through a series of community cultural development strategies.

12:00pm Interactive workshop: what is happening currently in terms of services and arts programming and what could happen in the future through support and partnership programming. Facilitators: Octapod and LMCAG

1–1:45pm: Lunch: for those who wish to stay and network.
