Here’s what people say about getting involved with Octapod
“…Completing a student placement with Octapod gave me the opportunity to learn new skills and put others into practice. The friendly and hands on environment made my experience one to remember. During my placement, I was able to start networking with like-minded people, giving me the foundation to start my career. It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of the Octapod team and I would highly encourage others to take the opportunity.” Brittany Price, This is Not Art (TiNA) Festival Assistant, 2018
“…Undertaking a student placement with Octapod and This is Not Art as Marketing/Communications Coordinator has been a huge stepping stone on my professional path. I’ve gained confidence in my skills, been allowed the freedom to make strategic and creative decisions, and had a chance to work behind the scenes of a nationally-renowned arts festival.
Octapod and TiNA have built up a position of influence as leaders in arts and culture and the creative industries in Newcastle. Stepping into this workplace culture has opened my eyes to the ways that arts organisations can uplift communities, create positive change and support inclusive values.” Callum Roberts, This is Not Art (TiNA) Marketing Manager, 2018
