Expressions of Interest sought from artists who identify as having a disability

Octapod is seeking an artist who identifies as having a disability to co-present with us at the Accessible Arts Creative Connections Conference to be held on 28 and 29 October 2014 in Chatswood (Sydney).

The theme of the conference – Creative Connections – invites presentations on any topic related to people with disability and art in ways that facilitate creative connections with and among the delegates.

Octapod will be submitting an application to present on the experience of an arts organisation supporting arts and cultural participation for people with disability during the implementation of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in Newcastle.  We are seeking an artist who supports this community cultural development model of social inclusion to present a participatory creative workshop alongside our presentation.
