Donate to Octapod and support Hunter arts
We’ve got some big plans and we’d like your support to do it. We have a dream of a robust and sustainable creative sector, that contributes to the economic and cultural development of the Hunter region.
With your help we can support a vibrant and sustainable creative sector, support career development for artists and support participation in the arts by diverse communities.
Octapod is a registered charity and also has Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status, which means all donations of $2 and more to the Octapod Cultural Activities Fund are tax deductible.
You can either make a donation and we will decide which project is most in need of financial support or you can specify which project you would like to support.
TINA is a free festival with a national focus and reach that plays an important role in creating a safe, experimental environment, where artists can test and exchange ideas, that belong outside of institutions. It has grown to become one of Australia’s leading contemporary and emerging arts festivals.
If you would like to support the emerging artists of tomorrow, please donate here to the Octapod Cultural Activities Fund. Your support will assist us to deliver over 150 FREE events over four days in Newcastle.
Supporting arts and cultural participation for people with disability.
Octapod is in a unique position to develop new models and ways of working to support career development for artists with disability and the development of inclusive arts programs across the Hunter region.
Based in one of the launch sites of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), your support will assist Octapod to broker new connections, facilitate dialogue across the arts and disability sectors, support career development for artists with disability, build the capacity of arts organisations and artists to offer inclusive programs and inspire new projects that focus on art making, not disability.
Please donate here to the Octapod Cultural Activities Fund to support people with disability to have more choices and better access to mainstream arts experiences, as well as provide opportunities for the arts and disability communities to come together in accessible arts and cultural settings.
PODspace is a pop up exhibition and education program that supports career development for artists.
If you would like to support both emerging and more established artists to present their work, please donate here to the Octapod Cultural Activities Fund. Funds will be used to offer SeedPOD, an emerging artist award, that provides exhibition space as well as professional development support.
Culture Hunter is the Hunter’s online arts directory and information hub. Produced by Octapod since 2006, Culture Hunter exists to showcase the diversity of the creative sector across the Hunter region.
If you would like to show your support for the cultural diversity of the Hunter region, please donate here to the Octapod Cultural Activities Fund. Funds will be used to support the ongoing development of culturehunter.org as an online platform for information sharing and celebration of the region’s creative sector.
Donations of $2 and over are tax deductible and make a significant contribution towards enabling us to deliver a range of projects that build capacity within the sector, support career development for artists as well as develop new ways to support participation in the arts by diverse communities. Thankyou!
