NEWCASTLE ART SPACE [formed in 2000]
The gallery is run on a volunteer bases by a group of experienced artists and arts administrators. It is available on a rental basis and provides professional and accessible space for a diverse range of artistic practices and projects.
NAS consists of two separate gallery spaces, G1 & G2, connected by a foyer area. In addition, G1 has been designed to allow separate, flexible areas within the one space. Exhibitions run in three week blocks and artists are responsible for all aspects of their exhibitions. Artists are not charged commission on the sale of work from Newcastle Art Space and the gallery accepts solo, group and curatorial proposals throughout the year.
ACCESS: The gallery is an accessible venue with level entrance via the front door, reserved parking in the carpark at the back of the Newcastle Community Arts Centre and and an accessible bathroom is available on request in the Black Box Theatre.
