FOR ARTS SAKE!
born in newcastle 1979. My artistic journey began as a very young child, and it is still a very passionate journey. I have fostered an eclectic arts practice, and have a wide profile of styles and subject matter. I use a combination of traditional and non-traditional techniques and more recently experimenting with paint mediums, colour and texture. I enjoy this element of exploration as this ensures the creative growth and development of my artistic journey. I find inspiration in books, lyrics, life experiences and micro surroundings. Much encouragement has come from my friends, family and success with local exhibits. Throughout my art practice, I have established myself mainly as a female portrait artist, with use of abstract techniques; with most recent to be more naive and contemporary, using a limited palate. I feel at ease using acrylics, as well as a wide variety of mixed media collaborations. In recent years I have won several awards and high commendations. Currently exhibiting at Ironbark hill gallery, david hook wines and cafe enzo’ hunter valley pokolbin NSW. So, let your mind wonder, and your eyes read…into the world of KHOLT. Enjoy art: for art’s sake!
