artist/painter/teacher
The figure/body has been my key interest as an emotive visual language for many years, and in the last three years I have included text that explores the idea of existence. Most of the images are simple forms that tend towards representation of a mood, or a moment in time.
I enjoy various mixed mediums in painting, drawing and printmaking that extends to manipulating surfaces.
I have completed the Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree at Newcastle University and Advanced Diploma of Fine Art at Newcastle Art School. I am involved in an artist-run space, the Greenway Gallery in Morpeth and I am a member of the Port Stephens Community Art Centre. I have been an exhibiting artist since 1996 and had two solo shows, one at Greenway Gallery, Morpeth in 2007 and at Watt space Newcastle in 2010.
