Octapod is run by a small and dedicated team of part-time staff who work with an indispensable bunch of volunteers.

Christina Robberds, Director
Octapod’s jill-of-all-trades, Christina spends her days dreaming up ideas of what Octapod could be, and enjoys getting the right systems in place, creating a welcoming environment, and listening to the heartbeat of communities in action. Christina has a background in mental health and disability, and has generally held roles that involved her organising and advocating whilst also getting her hands dirty with community cultural activities.

Justine Cogan, Development Manager
As a teenager, Justine found her place in the world through creating art.  She made connections with like-minded people through the local arts community and came to understand the value of being open to and participating in all forms of arts and cultural experiences. After working in arts advocacy and development for over fifteen years at Tate Gallery in London, Art Gallery of NSW in Sydney, Tantrum Theatre and Hunter Writers Centre in Newcastle, she continues to advocate for and support arts and cultural participation through her role with Octapod.  Justine is also a photographer of people.

Jo Plummer, Accounts Manager
Jo has a background working with community organisations and small business. She has a Bachelor of Business and Commerce specialising in Accounting from Monash University where she also undertook study in social justice policy and communities. Her experience and eye for detail helps Octapod make the biggest bang for its buck in its mission to support community arts projects.
