Welcome TINA 2016 team
This is Not Art (TiNA) 2016 once again promises artists from around Australia with the opportunity to come together, share work, test ideas, meet new people and explore the Newcastle CBD. The festival is committed to supporting emerging and experimental practices across theatre and performance, writing, visual arts, dance, electronic art and music. This year welcomes new faces to the TINA team and we are excited to introduce them to you in the lead up to the Artist Call Out, 1-31 March.
Continuing National Young Writers’ Festival (NYWF) Co-Director Sian Campbell is joined in 2016 by three new Co-Directors: David Graham (NSW), Izzy Roberts-Orr (VIC) andAnnie Waters (SA). A new Festival Manager and Coordinator have also been appointed, Stella Charls (VIC) and Khalid Warsame (QLD). Bringing together a wide range of skills and interests, the team has a great depth of knowledge in many different media and industries. After their first meeting in mid-January planning is well underway for the 2016 festival, which promises to be interactive, inclusive and just a little bit subversive.
Crack Theatre Festival are welcoming four brand new staff: Nikki Kennedy: Co-Artistic Director; Lizzie Doyle: Creative Producer, Bri Zammit: Associate Producer, and Liam O’Keefe: Marketing Manager. They are also welcoming back (with new badges): Hannah Strout: General Manager and Kate McDowell: Co-Artistic Director.
For 2016 Crack Theatre Festival is galvanised by a bigger team and is riding on a solid foundation from last year’s slick success – so it’s ready to act on some once far fledged plans placed down in years past, and at the same time bring back a little chaos – like old times.
