Website accessibility on its way!

We are excited to announce that our application to Arts Access Australia‘s Access Fund for support to improve the accessibility of our website was successful.

In our role as facilitator of the Creative Access Network it is important to us that we are able to communicate well with everyone, regardless of their communication needs. Having an accessible website will mean that more people will be able to find out what we do and get involved with our projects.

Our website is currently being redeveloped and so it was great timing to receive additional funding to help us to make the site more accessible. Our web developer will use the best practice guidelines outlined by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG 2.0) as a guide.

Arts Access Australia (AAA) is the peak national body for arts and disability. They work to increase opportunities and access for people with disability as artists, arts-workers, participants and audiences. The AAA Access Fund offers small to medium sized organisations up to $2,000 to contribute to improving access to their programs or services. We are very grateful to have received this grant and look forward to the site being more accessible by mid year.
