Volunteer Treasurer wanted for Octapod board
After two years as the Octapod Treasurer, Amanda Mackokatic is stepping down from the role to further her accounting studies. The opportunity exists for someone new to take on the role and contribute their accounting skills to the organisation.
As one of NSWs leading regional arts and culture organisations, Octapod works to build the capacity of the creative sector across the Lower Hunter as well as stimulate local arts and cultural development. Key projects include: This is Not Art (TiNA), one of Australia’s leading contemporary arts festivals, Smart Arts professional development program, Culture Hunter online arts directory and information hub, as well as a range of access and inclusion initiatives including artist run initiatives and sector forums.
Time commitment: Attend monthly 2 hour board meeting (3rd Monday of the month, 6-8pm), respond to emails plus review monthly Treasurer’s reports (prepared by Octapod Accounts Manager) and annual budget. On average 5-6 hours per month.
