ZINE LIBRARY

Octapod has a collection of over 2000 zines - the largest collection of its kind in Australia. The zine library started with a call-out for zines as part of the This is Not Art festival in 1998, when the New Pollution anthology was created. Since then the library's growth has been organic and sporadic.

We would like to create an online library catalogue to make this unique collection more user-friendly and accessible. If you'd like to be involved in the cataloguing project, contact us for more information.

Come and shelve some zines, learn how to use our catalogue, plan future events for the zine library, or just browse the collection. There are always things new volunteers could do, so contact us on admin[at]octapod.org or call 4927 0470.

WE WANT YOUR ZINES! Contribute to preserving our social and cultural history by giving the library a copy of your zine. A big thanks to all those who have donated zines this year! Every few weeks someone donates some zines - come and check them out.
