With another fantastic TiNA festival under our belt it is now time to reflect and look back on what was a“beautiful whirlwind of art, learning and fun”, which provided opportunities for artists and the like to share and inspire each other through focused performances, workshops, panels and discussions.
For emerging artists, TiNA festival, with its open-access model, is always seen as a “great platform to present a participatory work and gain audience feedback”, amongst the “culture of friendly sociability; everyone keen to chat and be introduced, talk about shows, share knowledge and strike up friendships.”
For many first timers to the festival this year, it has definitely made it onto their annual cultural calendar and Octapod and the creative TiNA team are already looking towards a more digitally developed festival model for 2013, including a curated visual art stream, more digital sounds and overall achieving a broader-audience experience for the people of Newcastle.
2013 festival dates: Thurs 26 - Sun 30 Sept. See you then!
