This Is Not Art is looking for a committed (and savvy) person to fill a key organisational role for 2010.

Getting involved as the Volunteer Coordinator means you can contribute to finding a (big) team of handy volunteers to plan, promote, develop and manage the festival – a perfect opportunity to get hands-on experience, test yourself, or share your talents.
Volunteers Coordinator– a key HR role where you get to find, organise and manage the festival volunteers
who will run the bar, set up our venues, hang the banners and survey our audience. You will be organised,
approachable, resourceful and intuitive.
Role Description
Reports to and receives support from the Festival Co-ordinator
Works alongside Festival Co-ordinator, Production Manager and Festival Bar Manager to ascertain volunteer requirements
1. Recruit volunteer pool of approximately 50 volunteers
2. Create and manage database of volunteer contacts
3. Promote the Volunteer recruitment with posters, e-list, website news or other innovate methods
4. Develop and organise volunteers incentives / rewards kit (Calico Bag Project)
5. Develop volunteers info pack
6. Develop rosters according to requirements of program and venues
7. Organise a volunteers group meeting and briefing prior to the festival
8. Act as a point of contact for volunteers prior to and during the festival
9. Troubleshoot rostering and availability challenges throughout the festival
10. Report and debrief on the position after the festival
Contract Fee: This position attracts a contractor's fee of $1000, including a negotiable stipend to cover expenses over the long weekend of the festival.

Timeline
Contract from August – November 30th 2010: Festival runs 30 September – 04 October 2010.
This position will be expected to work a minimum of 4 – 6 hours per week in the lead up to the festival. In
the week prior, and during the festival this position will be full time. There will also be a further 12 hours
of work post festival for debriefing and reporting.
Work Allocation: The Volunteer Coordinator is required to work from the Octapod office space.

NOTICE: Intention to Advertise – Bar Manager
Two contract positions are available for this years This Is Not Art Festival, incurring a $1000 contract fee for each role. The Octapod Association intends to advertise the two This Is Not Art Bar Manager Licensee positions this coming July, in local and national publications. This position incurs a paid contract fee of $1000 from the Octapod Association. Applicants with previous experience working on This Is Not Art festival will be highly considered.
