The Cultural STOMP Festival is having a planning meeting on Thursday January 22 from 6 pm at the Octapod, Upstairs, 321 King St Newcastle.
The Festival is on June 6 this year and the theme is "Be The Change", relating to Ghandhi's statement, "Be the change that you want to see in the world!". We need people to get involved in exploring the theme through music, performing and visual arts, forums, and workshops.

In order to help celebrate the launch of Culture Hunter Kids, the brand new section of CultureHunter dedicated to child-friendly events and activities, CultureHunter invites school children throughout the Hunter to design a mascot that will be used to promote CultureHunter kids.
In 2009 Octapod is offering two FREE residency positions. One position has already been given to the Cultural STOMP Festival, and Octapod is currently seeking applications for the second position from individuals or small groups (3 people max) interested in using the Octapod space for arts and cultural activities.
