Following on the great success of four seasonal art bazaars in 2012, Winter Art Bazaar is returning to the grounds of Maitland Regional Art Gallery (MRAG) on Sunday 9 June 2013 from 10am – 3pm. The inaugural Winter Art Bazaar was a roaring success as last year’s event generated such a large crowd. All are welcome to enjoy another great day out in the gallery grounds.

McClelland Gallery+Sculpture Park and Southern Way has announced the third call for entries for the 2015 Biennial Sculpture Commission valued at $250,000.
This unique commission forms part of an ongoing dedication to the presentation of public sculpture by McClelland in association with Southern Way.
The Qantas Spirit of Youth Awards Written Word category is currently open for entries.
The Award offers writers aged between 18 and 30 the opportunity to choose their own adventure, with $5,000 worth of air travel enabling them to jet off wherever inspiration calls.
Bienvenue au Touring French Film Festival Newcastle 2013!
The Alliance Francaise de Newcastle is putting on the 4th edition of the Touring French Film Festival, from Friday 17th through to Sunday 19th May at the Towers Cinema.
The day is for all ages and abilities and will be held at the Newcastle Conservatorium of Music, Laman Street, Newcastle. Special guests are “Fluteworthy” (Lamorna Nightingale, Jocelyn Fazzone and Christine Draeger). There will be musical games for children, masterclasses, teachers’ resource session and solo and ensemble playing. A concert will conclude the morning.
